About A Certain Scientific Mental Out

The series focuses on Misaki Shokuhou, the fifth-ranked Level 5 Esper in Academy City, a futuristic hub of Espers where students gain supernatural abilities through the Power Curriculum Program.

Misaki plays a pivotal role across the franchise. In A Certain Scientific Railgun, key events delve into her backstory as well as her rivalry with Mikoto. Then, A Certain Magical Index New Testament details significant facets of her past, including her relationship with the protagonist, Touma Kamijou.

Yasuhito Nogi illustrates the series. They also worked on another spinoff, Astral Buddy.

The newest light novel entry in the mainline series, A Certain Magical Index Genesis Testament volume 16, is now available in Japan.

The A Certain Scientific Railgun manga series recently concluded after 19 years.

Meanwhile, A Certain Scientific Mental Out continues its serialization. A fourth season of Railgun is also in the works. The A Certain Dark Item light novel and manga series is currently airing an anime adaptation.
